Allen Police step up enforcement for Spring Break

Allen Police to step up Speed, Seatbelt, DWI Enforcement for March, 2014.
Allen, TX.  The Allen Police Department will increase Speed, Seatbelt and DWI patrols during the month of March, 2014.  During the week of Spring Break officers will increase the focus on DWI patrols.
Officers will focus on locations and times when alcohol – related crashes are most frequent.  The enhanced patrols are funded through a grant from the Texas Department of Transportation.
As a result of the grant, officers are able to increase patrols that target impaired drivers.
Speed and Seatbelt patrols will concentrate on daylight hours where compliance is the primary goal.
